Job Summary
To inspire a love of languages in younger students, the part-time Licensed Online Language Teacher will plan and deliver engaging live lessons in JH Intro to Languages, assess student progress, and utilize innovative teaching strategies in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality live lessons tailored to a diverse group of international students
- Assess student progress and provide targeted feedback to ensure strong learning outcomes
- Manage the online classroom on Canvas, organizing assignments and assessments for easy access
Required qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years' teaching experience at the middle/junior high school level in a school setting
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Languages, Linguistics, or a related field
- Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and the teaching team
- Familiarity with online teaching platforms and a passion for technology-enabled education
- Knowledge of a US middle school/junior high curriculum and age-appropriate teaching approaches
