Job Summary
To enhance the quality of healthcare, an independent contractor Licensed Peer Reviewer in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation will conduct remote, evidence-based medical reviews, making determinations on medical necessity and quality of care.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct objective peer reviews of clinical cases based on evidence and current standards of practice
- Make final determinations regarding medical necessity and quality of care in a timely manner
- Submit reviews professionally using the provided IT systems
Required qualifications
- Must hold an unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state
- Board certification through a recognized medical board is required, if applicable
- At least five years of full-time clinical experience providing direct patient care
- Active engagement in direct or virtual patient care for a minimum of 20 hours per week
- Knowledge of current evidence-based clinical guidelines and treatments relevant to the cases reviewed
