Job Summary
To enhance the quality of healthcare, the independent contractor Licensed Peer Reviewer in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation will conduct remote, evidence-based reviews of clinical cases, determining medical necessity and quality of care on an ad hoc basis.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct objective peer reviews of clinical cases to evaluate medical necessity and quality of care
- Make final determinations that align with current standards of practice
- Submit reviews in a timely and professional manner using provided IT systems
Required qualifications
- Must hold an unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state
- Board certification required through a recognized board
- At least five years of full-time equivalent clinical experience
- Experience providing direct clinical care within the past three years
- Must be actively engaged in direct or virtual patient care for at least 20 hours per week
