Job Summary
Evaluating prescriptions and patient histories, the full-time Licensed Pharmacist Appeals will work remotely to consult on medication use, interpret clinical documentation, and make determinations on pharmacy coverage appeals.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate prescriptions and patient histories to determine appeal outcomes
- Consult with patients and healthcare providers regarding medication interactions and clinical status for appeals
- Research and assess clinical information to render decisions on member and provider pharmacy coverage appeals
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in PharmD
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of residence
- 1+ years of experience as a licensed Pharmacist
- 1+ years of experience with prior authorization case review and decision-making
- Intermediate computer proficiency with MS Office and navigating a Windows environment
