Job Summary
Serving as a trusted advisor, the part-time remote Pharmacy Benefits Subject Matter Expert (SME) will provide expert insight to guide benefit design and acquisition strategy within the Department of Defense and TRICARE environment, ensuring compliance and operational soundness.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter expert for pharmacy benefit management, applying deep industry knowledge to inform strategy and optimize benefit design
- Act as a bridge between commercial innovation and military health requirements, ensuring recommendations are practical and compliant
- Provide technical credibility for benefit design decisions and acquisition strategies, reducing risk and accelerating modernization
Required qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of related work experience in the pharmacy benefit space
- Experience in pharmacy benefits management operations, benefit design, pricing models, and clinical pharmacy practices
- At least five (5) years of experience in government administration of pharmacy benefits
- DoD or VA experience is preferred, but not mandatory
- Must possess an active pharmacy license
