Job Summary
Supporting commercial nuclear projects, the contract Pipe Stress Engineer will perform stress analyses, prepare engineering specifications for code compliance, and lead design efforts for modifications to power generation facilities, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Perform stress analyses and develop design recommendations for existing and new plant systems
- Prepare piping and engineering specifications to ensure compliance with relevant codes
- Provide technical support for field execution and mentor junior engineers
Required qualifications
- BS in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- 2-5 years of piping/mechanical design experience with a focus on pipe stress analysis in nuclear facilities or similar systems
- Proficiency in AutoPIPE, GTStrudl, and Mathcad
- Professional Engineering License preferred
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S
