Job Summary
Supporting commercial nuclear projects, the contract Pipe Stress Engineer will perform stress analyses, prepare engineering specifications, and design modifications for existing power generation facilities while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Perform stress analyses and pipe stress calculations for modifications to power generation facilities
- Prepare piping and engineering specifications to ensure code compliance and develop design recommendations
- Lead multi-disciplined project design teams and provide technical support for field execution and mentoring of junior engineers
Required qualifications
- BS in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- 2-5 years of piping/mechanical design experience with a focus on pipe stress analysis in nuclear facilities or similar systems
- Proficiency in AutoPIPE, GTStrudl, and Mathcad
- Professional Engineering License preferred
- Legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship
