Licensed Plastic Surgeon Reviewer

Job Summary

To enhance the quality of healthcare, a Licensed Plastic Surgeon Reviewer will perform independent external medical reviews remotely on an ad hoc basis, applying clinical expertise to evaluate cases related to medical necessity and standards of care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct objective, evidence-based peer reviews of clinical cases
• Make final determinations regarding medical necessity and quality of care
• Submit reviews in a timely and professional manner using provided IT systems

Required qualifications

• Must hold an unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state
• Board certification through a recognized medical board is required (if applicable)
• At least five years of full-time equivalent clinical experience providing direct patient care
• Must be actively engaged in direct or virtual patient care for at least 20 hours per week
• Knowledge of current evidence-based clinical guidelines and treatments relevant to the cases under review
