Job Summary
Seeking a part-time Licensed Policy Analyst, the successful candidate will provide program support on underground injection control, groundwater protection, and policy development for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Water, focusing on subsurface injection operations.
Key responsibilities
- Review information related to geologic settings and the operation of proposed subsurface injection projects
- Conduct background research and literature reviews of subsurface processes and site-specific geologic investigations
- Research and write high-quality deliverables for clients while providing logistical and administrative support for project staff
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a natural science field (e.g., environmental science, geology) with 10-12 years of experience in environmental engineering
- Licensed professional engineers or geologists are preferred candidates
- Working understanding of Underground Injection Control regulations related to geologic sequestration wells
- Fluency in MS Office applications
- Understanding of geology, structural geology and stratigraphy, or subsurface flow and transport
