Job Summary
Reviewing Statement of Health applications for Group Life and Disability insurance, the part-time Nurse Reviewer will assess medical details, request additional information, and make underwriting decisions in a virtual environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review assigned cases and examine Statement of Health Applications to determine approval, denial, or need for additional medical information
- Independently research and investigate medical details to support sound underwriting decisions
- Maintain consistency and quality standards by utilizing job aids and guidance from supervisory roles within a large team environment
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of relevant business experience
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Certification
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to work across multiple computer monitors and programs
- Ability to use AI approved tools to support routine tasks
