Job Summary
As the Principal Mechanical Engineer, this full-time remote position will manage the mechanical engineering strategy and technical governance for utility-scale gas-fired power plants, overseeing the entire project lifecycle from development to operations.
Key responsibilities
- Establish and own the mechanical engineering philosophy for gas-fired power plants, acting as the final technical decision-maker for system design and lifecycle issues
- Lead plant-level system and process engineering, ensuring design consistency and performance optimization for gas turbine and reciprocating engine projects
- Provide technical leadership for major equipment selection and integration, governing the mechanical scope for balance-of-plant systems and ensuring long-term reliability
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in power plant mechanical engineering, including roles on the EPC, OEM, or owner-side
- Proven experience with gas turbine and/or gas engine power plants, with a strong preference for discipline lead or technical authority experience
- Deep expertise in rotating equipment, thermal systems, and balance-of-plant mechanical systems
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required
