Job Summary
To support transmission and distribution projects in a remote setting, the full-time Licensed Principal Transmission Engineer will manage design and coordination of high voltage transmission lines, utilizing PLS-CADD software while mentoring junior engineers and serving as a primary client-facing Subject Matter Expert.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and coordinate high voltage transmission line projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements and quality control
- Facilitate collaboration among project team members and act as the main client contact to define project scope
- Mentor junior engineers and lead internal training presentations to enhance team capabilities and improve design standards
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 20 years of relevant transmission line engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; licensure in multiple states preferred
- Expertise in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE, with the ability to train others
- Previous experience working with or for a Utility is required
