Licensed Product Counsel
Job Summary
As a part-time Licensed Product Counsel, the successful candidate will provide strategic legal advice to product and engineering teams, focusing on emerging legal issues in areas such as privacy, AI, and digital advertising while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and manage legal issues throughout product development
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex product partnerships and commercial agreements
- Monitor and interpret relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance and implement processes
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctorate with a minimum of 8 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in-house at a tech company
- Experience in digital advertising/ad tech and privacy law (GDPR, CCPA, FTC rules)
- Proven track record in negotiating major technology and commercial deals
- Strong project management skills and ability to drive cross-functional initiatives
- Bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
