Licensed Psychiatrist

Job Summary

To support a growing tele-behavioral health service, the part-time Licensed Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric care and consultation for a range of patients using virtual platforms, working night shifts from 12:30 AM to 9:30 AM CST or 5:30 PM to 4:30 AM CST, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform psychiatric evaluations and develop treatment plans for low to moderate acuity patients, including follow-up care for chronic conditions
• Direct quality assurance efforts and make critical decisions regarding patient care, including hospitalization and fitness for duty evaluations
• Attend staff meetings for case discussions and continuous quality improvement, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and protocols

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree
• Successful completion of an accredited internship and residency in Psychiatry
• Two years of experience providing psychiatric care using virtual platforms, with preference for experience within the Military Health System (MHS)
• Current board certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
• Active, unrestricted license to practice as a Psychiatrist
