Job Summary
To support tele-behavioral health services, the remote Licensed Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric care, perform evaluations and treatment plans for patients, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals during night shifts from 12:30 AM to 9:30 AM CST or 5:30 PM to 4:30 AM CST, Tuesday through Friday.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric evaluations and treatment for low to moderate acuity patients, utilizing virtual platforms
- Direct quality assurance and make critical decisions regarding patient care, including hospitalization and fitness for duty assessments
- Attend staff meetings for case discussions and maintain accurate patient documentation within specified timeframes
Required qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree
- Completion of an accredited internship and residency in Psychiatry
- Two years of experience providing Psychiatry using virtual platforms, preferably within the Military Health System (MHS)
- Current board certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
- Active and unrestricted license to practice as a Psychiatrist
