Licensed Scenario Desk Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Scenario Desk Underwriter to assist the Operations Team with loan restructuring and underwriting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to scenario inquiries from Loan Officers and processors
• Review and decision credit, income, asset, and property documentation for compliance
• Recommend alternative loan structures and communicate with investors and loan officers

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Five or more years of mortgage underwriting experience
• Current experience underwriting VA mortgage loans
• Direct Endorsement (DE) and/or LAPP/SAR certifications preferred
• Superior knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and VA underwriting requirements
