Licensed Senior Attorney, Carbon Finance

Job Summary

Focused on providing legal advice and transactional support for global teams, the full-time Licensed Senior Attorney, Carbon Finance will manage complex projects related to carbon markets and climate initiatives, including drafting and negotiating agreements for carbon credit generation and sales while working remotely in the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on carbon-related transactions and ensure compliance with organizational policies
• Draft, negotiate, and structure complex agreements, including carbon offtake and financing arrangements
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support corporate governance and project implementation

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctorate or equivalent and license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• Five years of relevant legal experience with a focus on complex agreement drafting and negotiation
• Demonstrated expertise in carbon markets and climate-related regulations
• Strong background in corporate transactional law and governance
• Experience advising clients with a global presence in either in-house or law firm settings
