Licensed Senior Claims Counsel

Job Summary

To support the Claims Management team, the remote Licensed Senior Claims Counsel will investigate and resolve title insurance claims, manage litigation, and provide legal guidance while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations of claims and develop strategies for resolution, focusing on complex legal issues
• Direct and supervise litigation, including engaging outside counsel and negotiating settlements
• Draft agreements and educational materials, and assist in training staff on claims handling practices

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctorate Degree
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. state
• Minimum five years' experience with title insurance claims administration or real estate law
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to read and interpret legal documents and prepare presentations for seminars
