Job Summary
To support Claims Management, the remote Licensed Senior Claims Counsel will investigate and resolve title insurance claims, manage litigation processes, and collaborate with various stakeholders while ensuring compliance with legal practices.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations of claims and develop strategies for resolution, focusing on complex legal issues
- Negotiate settlements with claimants and oversee litigation, including engaging outside counsel as necessary
- Draft agreements, training materials, and assist in the assignment of notices and staff training
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctorate Degree
- Licensed to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. state
- Minimum five years' experience in title insurance claims administration or real estate law
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to read and interpret legal documents effectively
