Licensed Senior Claims Counsel

Job Summary

To support claims management, the remote Licensed Senior Claims Counsel will investigate and resolve title insurance claims, provide legal analysis on complex issues, and manage litigation while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations of claims and develop strategies for resolution
• Negotiate settlements and manage litigation processes, including supervising outside counsel
• Draft legal agreements and training materials while advising on claims handling practices

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctorate Degree
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. state
• Minimum five years' experience with title insurance claims administration or real estate law
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to read and interpret legal documents effectively
