Job Summary
To support the Claims Management team, the remote Licensed Senior Claims Counsel will investigate and handle title insurance claims, develop resolution strategies, and manage litigation processes while collaborating with various stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct investigations of claims and develop legal strategies for resolution
- Negotiate settlements and manage litigation, including engaging outside counsel as needed
- Draft legal documents and educational materials, and assist in training staff on claims handling practices
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctorate Degree
- Licensed to practice law in good standing in at least one U.S. state
- Minimum five years' experience in title insurance claims administration or real estate law
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to read and interpret legal documents and present seminars
