Licensed Strategic Underwriting Specialist
Job Summary
Covering underwriter pipelines and managing overflow loan volume, the full-time Licensed Strategic Underwriting Specialist will operate remotely, ensuring operational continuity and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance across multiple underwriting teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Cover underwriter pipelines during planned and unplanned absences to meet production targets
- Review and update loan files post-closing for any necessary changes or outstanding conditions
- Underwrite loans across all agency product types, adhering to guidelines and regulatory requirements
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of front-line mortgage underwriting experience across all agency product types
- Active DE, SAR, and LAPP certifications
- Experience with Encompass LOS preferred
- Advanced knowledge of agency guidelines and AUS findings (DU/LP)
- Demonstrated proficiency in underwriting Conventional, FHA, USDA, and VA loan products
