Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Licensed Structural Engineer specializing in substations, this position focuses on applying civil/structural engineering principles to manage project tasks, resolve construction issues, and perform structural design and analysis for substation facilities, with the flexibility to work remotely or from various U.S. office locations.
Key responsibilities
- Apply engineering principles and project management skills to complete tasks from start to finish
- Perform structural design and analysis for substation facilities, including foundations and support structures
- Coordinate with electrical engineering teams to support substation layout and equipment integration
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- 5+ years of progressive structural engineering experience, preferably in energy or renewable power sectors
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one U.S. state or ability to obtain
- Experience with structural analysis and design software, including AutoCAD and STAAD.Pro
- Knowledge of applicable design codes such as ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC
