Licensed Structural Plan Review Engineer

Job Summary

Offering a part-time remote opportunity, the Licensed Structural Plan Review Engineer will review and evaluate structural construction documents, ensure compliance with applicable codes, and communicate design deficiencies while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Review and evaluate structural construction documents for compliance with codes and authorize the release of approved documents for city permits
• Participate in design coordination meetings to lead project development and resolve issues
• Assist inspectors with code compliance inquiries and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders

Required qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) by a State Board of Registration
• 3+ years of experience as a Licensed Professional Engineer in the construction industry
• Experience performing wood-framed structural reviews and commercial building plan reviews preferred
• ICC Building Plans Examiner Certification is a plus
