Licensed Structural Plan Review Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the part-time Licensed Structural Plan Review Engineer will review and evaluate structural construction documents, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Review and evaluate structural construction documents and engineering calculations for compliance with codes and standards
• Provide timely communication regarding design and construction deficiencies and participate in design coordination meetings
• Assist inspectors with code compliance issues and foster positive relationships with stakeholders to support project success

Required qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) by a State Board of Registration
• 3+ years of experience as a Licensed Professional Engineer in the construction industry
• Experience performing wood-framed and commercial building plan reviews preferred
• ICC Building Plans Examiner Certification is a plus
