Licensed Structural Plan Review Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing team, the part-time Licensed Structural Plan Review Engineer will review and evaluate structural construction documents, ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards, and foster positive relationships with stakeholders while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Review and evaluate structural construction documents for compliance with codes, standards, and municipal ordinances
- Conduct design coordination meetings for private development and capital improvement projects to ensure timely approvals
- Assist inspectors with code compliance issues and provide detailed communication regarding design deficiencies
Required qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) by a State Board of Registration
- 3+ years of experience as a Licensed Professional Engineer in the construction industry
- Experience performing wood-framed structural reviews
- ICC Building Plans Examiner Certification is a plus
