Licensed Substation Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

Leading a talented team, the full-time remote Substation Electrical Engineering Manager will oversee substation physical designs, manage project resources and budgets, and mentor engineers in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a multi-disciplinary team in delivering substation physical designs for utilities and EPC partners
• Provide strategic oversight for project resources, budgets, and client relationships
• Review and approve design packages, drawings, and specifications for technical excellence

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and an active PE license; PMP is a plus
• 15+ years of experience in physical substation design, including 4+ years in leadership
• Deep understanding of high-voltage substation design, general arrangements, grounding plans, and bus configurations
• Advanced knowledge of utility industry standards
• Passion for mentorship, innovation, and collaborative leadership
