Job Summary
Bringing extensive search, examination, and curative expertise, the full-time Licensed Title Officer will independently manage title-only files, resolve complex title matters, and ensure a seamless closing experience while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Review and evaluate county records, search packages, and other property documents to identify requirements and exceptions for title commitments
- Coordinate with various stakeholders, including consumers and attorneys, to efficiently cure title issues and update commitments as new information arises
- Communicate proactively with all transaction parties and manage multiple files while meeting established turnaround times and service standards
Required qualifications
- Eight or more years of title examination and curative experience within a title operation
- A four-year college degree
- Strong expertise in title search, examination, and curative practices, including familiarity with ALTA title insurance forms
- Proficiency with title production software and tools such as DataTrace and PACER
- Experience supporting transactions at a national scale, preferably in markets like Maryland, Virginia, or Pennsylvania
