Licensed Trade Operations Lead
Job Summary
Providing hands-on operational ownership, the fully remote Trade Operations Southern Border Lead will manage U.S. import/export execution, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and optimizing trade processes across maquila activities.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to audits and inquiries from U.S. Customs and FDA, coordinating evidence collection and managing follow-ups
- Drive process improvements for cross-border trade and TIB management to enhance compliance and reduce costs
- Serve as the trade compliance subject matter expert, providing analysis and risk assessments for supply chain initiatives
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Trade, Business, Law, or related field
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- 6-10 years of experience in customs, trade compliance, or cross-border operations
- Hands-on experience with Importer of Record and Exporter of Record responsibilities
- Experience with SAP GTS and customs entry software
