Licensed Transmission Engineering Director

Job Summary

Recognized as a high-voltage transmission line design expert, the fully remote Licensed Transmission Engineering Director will lead complex projects, mentor staff, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver high-quality utility infrastructure solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead transmission design on large and complex projects using design software such as PLS-CADD
• Create design documents and drawings for new transmission line projects, including specifications and detailed drawings
• Assign staff to projects, manage resources, and ensure project deliverables are met on schedule

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; a master's degree is preferred
• 15+ years of experience in high-voltage transmission line design
• Licensed professional or structural engineer status is highly advantageous
• Strong knowledge of industry codes, standards, and best practices (e.g., ASCE, IEEE, NESC)
• Proficiency in PLS-CADD; experience with AutoCAD and/or Microstation is a plus
