Licensed Underwriter Lead

Job Summary

To support underwriting operations, the full-time Licensed Underwriter Lead will review, underwrite, and rate broker submissions for new and renewal business while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluates new and renewal business in accordance with underwriting guidelines to achieve profit and growth goals
• Manages the preparation and distribution of program renewal specifications to markets
• Coordinates the issuance of policies and endorsements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with binding orders

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Eight (8) or more years of related work experience in the insurance industry, including prior supervisory experience
• Valid Insurance License with the ability to meet renewal requirements
• Experience with managing and delegating tasks to underwriters and administrative staff
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
