Life & Annuity Actuary
Job Summary
To support the development of innovative life insurance and annuity products, the full-time remote Product Actuary, Life & Annuity will serve as a subject-matter expert on actuarial and calculation logic, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate product specifications into implementable system logic and utilizing AI tools for rapid prototyping.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the go-to expert on actuarial and calculation logic for illustrations and policy administration systems
- Translate life insurance and annuity product specifications into system logic, working closely with Engineering teams
- Support policy migrations and ensure accurate implementation of legacy calculation logic and new business products
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of life insurance industry experience; annuity experience is a strong plus
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with pricing models or illustration and policy administration systems
- Deep product knowledge of life and annuity insurance products, including calculations and transactions
- Actuarial background (ASA, FSA) preferred; equivalent technical depth in life insurance product mathematics acceptable
- Experience with policy migrations or legacy block conversions is a strong plus
