Life Insurance Actuary
Job Summary
Serving as the primary subject matter expert, the temporary Product Subject Matter Expert Actuary will work from home to support the conversion of life insurance products to a new policy administration platform, ensuring accurate documentation, testing, and validation of product rules and calculations.
Key responsibilities
- Interpret and document product rules across the policy lifecycle for assigned life insurance products
- Analyze legacy system outputs to identify undocumented rules and discrepancies, translating findings into testable business requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate conversion mappings and support post-conversion stabilization efforts
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Business, or related field
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries designation
- 7+ years of experience in life insurance product, actuarial, policy administration, or insurance operations roles
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with life insurance products across the policy lifecycle
- Expertise in compliance with IRC Sections 7702 and 7702A, including Necessary Premium Testing
