Life Insurance Underwriter

Job Summary

Supporting a growing Consumer Markets Division, the full-time Life Insurance Underwriter will evaluate insurance applicants and assess mortality risk while working 100% remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Review upfront underwriting data and handle additional requirements for risk selection
• Finalize cases and enter medical history using system workbenches to process and decision cases
• Adhere to schedules and meet all productivity, quality, and performance standards

Required qualifications

• 7-10+ years of Life Insurance Underwriting experience with proven proficiency in underwriting processes
• Ability to handle advanced decision-level authorities without co-signature (1 Million or higher)
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Completion of LOMA 280/281 and 290/291; actively working toward AALU, FLMI, and FALU
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for building internal and external relationships
