Job Summary

Detail-oriented and experienced, the full-time Life Insurance Underwriter will assess and manage individual life insurance risk by underwriting applications, evaluating risk factors, and communicating decisions to internal teams and field partners.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite individual life insurance applications, typically up to $500K
• Evaluate risk and determine approvals, declines, or rating adjustments based on medical impairments and special risk factors
• Communicate underwriting decisions and guidelines to internal teams and respond to related inquiries

Required qualifications

• Understanding of federal and state insurance regulations
• 2-5 years of life underwriting experience or equivalent
• Life Insurance focus is a MUST
