Life Underwriter Consultant

Job Summary

To support manual testing and quality validation of an underwriting platform, the temporary Individual Life Underwriter will evaluate workflows, validate system behavior across product lines, and ensure reliable performance in a work-at-home environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct manual testing of underwriting workflows and case movements through the application process
• Validate system functionality across indexed universal life (IUL) and term product lines
• Provide insights to refine rules, workflows, and decisioning logic based on underwriting evaluations

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of formal life underwriting experience with exposure to diverse case types
• Strong background as a production underwriter; formal QA experience is not required
• Demonstrated experience with fully underwritten programs
• Familiarity with APS, LifeScore, and EHR workflows
• Comfort navigating underwriting workbenches and decisioning tools
