Job Summary

Focused on underwriting complex insurance applications, the full-time remote Sr. Life Underwriter - Minnesota Licensed will evaluate insurability, make final underwriting decisions, and collaborate with financial associates and consultants to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities:

• Underwrite holistic, complex insurance applications and assess risk factors including medical and financial history
• Partner with team members and external consultants to achieve optimal outcomes for clients, ensuring compliance with guidelines
• Mentor less experienced underwriters and conduct quality audits to enhance team performance

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred or 4 years of relevant insurance experience
• Minimum 4 years of individual Life or Health underwriting experience with approval authority of up to $2,000,000 for life and $11,000 for DI
• Completion of or progress towards ACS, FLMI, and/or FALU designations
• Strong customer focus and ability to train and mentor others remotely
• Proficient PC skills and a broad understanding of the financial services industry
