Job Summary
Managing the operations of an Underwriting unit, the full-time Life Underwriting Manager will oversee recruitment, training, and development of underwriter staff while ensuring customer-centered communication and leading complex projects remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of the Underwriting unit to maintain service standards and favorable mortality experience
- Supervise underwriters' work activities and perform performance management and career development
- Lead complex projects and implement new underwriting guidelines and customer service standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible work experience
- Experience in people management and training development of underwriters
- Previous life underwriting experience preferred
- Strong project management skills with a track record of obtaining results
- A minimum of seven years of operational experience is preferred
