Lightning Protocol Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced systems software engineer, the full-time Lightning Protocol Engineer will work remotely to design and implement core Lightning Network protocols, contribute to peer-to-peer cryptocurrency daemons, and collaborate on future iterations of the Lightning Network.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement core Lightning Network protocols and algorithms
• Contribute to mission-critical peer-to-peer cryptocurrency daemons written in Go
• Participate in issue triage and code review of open source contributions

Required qualifications

• Strong engineering background with solid programming skills
• Experience in Go, with C or C++ knowledge relevant
• Thorough understanding of distributed systems and peer-to-peer networking principles
• Experience with Bitcoin, cryptography, and/or financial software
• Prior contributions to crypto protocols and open source software preferred
