LIHTC Underwriter Associate

Job Summary

Assisting the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) team, the full-time remote LIHTC Underwriter Associate will manage customer relationships, evaluate investment risks, and support the underwriting and closing of multifamily proprietary LIHTC investments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing syndicator relationships and communicate investment parameters while screening and negotiating letters of intent (LOIs) for LIHTC investments
• Identify and assess risks associated with potential proprietary LIHTC investments to ensure compliance with credit and regulatory guidelines
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to execute LOIs and support the underwriting and closing of multi-investor fund investments

Required qualifications

• Up to two years of relevant experience underwriting LIHTC proprietary fund investments
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Experience with equity or debt portfolio management software/systems (e.g., MRI, Salesforce, Yardi) is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a team environment
