Linux Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Linux Engineer to join their core infrastructure team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the migration project from RHEL 7 to RHEL 9, developing strategies and providing support to application owners
• Manage daily operations of the RHEL server fleet, including automation solutions for configuration management
• Ensure system security and compliance, perform troubleshooting, and maintain documentation for operational processes

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass a background investigation for a Public Trust security clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or 4+ years of equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience as a Linux/RHEL Engineer or Administrator in a large-scale data center environment
• Expert-level proficiency with RHEL 7 and 8, along with demonstrated experience with RHEL 9
• Proven experience in planning and executing large-scale OS migrations and supporting application teams during transitions
