Linux Engineer

Job Summary

To support systems management across diverse environments, the full-time Linux Engineer will perform advanced UNIX systems administration, collaborate with IT teams to diagnose complex issues, and manage system installations and maintenance remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Perform intermediate- to advanced-level UNIX systems administration activities, including server and application component installation and configuration
• Diagnose complex system, network, and application issues in collaboration with other IT teams
• Support virtualization technologies and develop scripts to automate processes and support application environments

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in Linux/UNIX operating system and system software installation and support
• Experience supporting environments in Oracle Cloud or other cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS
• Experience with virtualization technologies, including Oracle VM, VMware, and Solaris LDOMs
• Working knowledge of Oracle engineered systems and Oracle Linux
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
