Linux Kernel Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Linux Kernel Software Engineer to join their Automotive Kernel Engineering team focused on Linux Kernel development for automotive applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Backport upstream features and fixes to In-Vehicle Operating System releases
• Investigate kernel support for Functional Safety and collaborate with platform vendors
• Participate in the open source community and maintain kernel packages

Required Qualifications

• Expertise in Linux device driver development and kernel boot optimization
• Familiarity with Device Tree and Git, including upstream Linux kernel patch posting
• Experience with backporting upstream code and kernel configuration
• Familiarity with embedded systems and their ecosystems
• Ability to work independently in a small team environment
