Job Summary
Supporting the implementation of a successful Cybersecurity program, the full-time Linux Security Engineer will manage the migration of workloads from on-premises datacenters to AWS cloud environments while ensuring secure configurations and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Linux (RHEL, CentOS) servers across on-prem and AWS cloud environments
- Support cloud migration efforts, ensuring secure configurations and compliance during transitions
- Remediate server, cloud, and software issues, and collaborate with teams to support modernization and system maintenance
Required qualifications
- 4-year degree in Computer Science or related field plus 5 years of experience, or 8 years of experience without a degree
- Hands-on Linux administration experience (RHEL, CentOS) in physical, virtual, and cloud contexts
- Experience with vulnerability remediation and system patching
- Familiarity with automation/orchestration tools such as Ansible for configuration management
- Working knowledge of NIST, FISMA, and cloud security frameworks
