Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Linux System Administration Analyst will provide production and non-production support for a large-scale Unix/Linux environment, managing incidents, system maintenance, and operational troubleshooting across various platforms including RHEL and VMware.
Key responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive Linux/Unix server support, including incident management and system maintenance
- Administer RHEL servers, storage, networking, and system patches while supporting VMware environments
- Ensure compliance with FISMA-aligned security controls and participate in infrastructure projects and automation initiatives
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience with Red Hat Linux, including 4+ years administering RHEL 6/7/8/9/10
- 2+ years of experience with VMware ESX and strong hands-on expertise in Linux administration and storage management
- Experience supporting production systems within regulated environments, focusing on security controls and compliance
- RHCSA certification is mandatory
- Strong troubleshooting skills and effective communication with technical teams and stakeholders
