Job Summary
To support secure and scalable infrastructure operations, the full-time Linux Systems Administrator will administer, secure, and optimize enterprise Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments across on-premises, virtual, and cloud-based infrastructures in both remote and on-site settings.
Key responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain enterprise Linux environments, focusing on RHEL systems to ensure secure and highly available IT services
- Implement and maintain Linux configuration management, patch management, security controls, and vulnerability remediation in compliance with organizational and federal requirements
- Support infrastructure automation initiatives and develop automation solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and scripting languages
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of Linux systems administration experience, with at least 5 years supporting RHEL environments
- Experience integrating Linux systems with Active Directory and enterprise IAM platforms
- Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks, including NIST and FISMA
- Experience with cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure and AWS in production settings
