Linux Systems Administrator

Job Summary

To support the Linux infrastructure, the full-time Linux Systems Administrator will provision and manage Debian-based virtual machines, develop configuration management scripts, and participate in incident response while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Provision, configure, monitor, and decommission virtual machines using automation tools like Cinc (Chef) and Ansible
• Develop and maintain configuration management scripts to improve infrastructure automation
• Participate in production incident response and assist in resolving operational issues

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 1-4 years of hands-on Linux systems administration experience, preferably with Debian or Ubuntu
• Experience with at least one configuration management platform, such as Ansible or Chef/Cinc
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms like Hyper-V or VMware ESXi
• Basic Bash scripting skills and understanding of web servers, particularly Nginx
