Linux Systems Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting mission-critical infrastructure for a federal customer, the full-time remote Linux Systems Engineer will manage Linux administration, infrastructure automation using Ansible, and enhance Splunk monitoring while collaborating with distributed teams.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise Linux environments
• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using Ansible
• Support and enhance Splunk dashboards, searches, alerts, and log ingestion pipelines

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of Linux Systems Administration or DevOps Engineering experience
• Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, Rocky Linux, and Ubuntu Linux
• Hands-on experience with Ansible automation and configuration management
• Experience administering and supporting Splunk Enterprise environments
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field preferred
