Job Summary
Owning end-to-end remediation for vulnerabilities on Linux servers, the full-time Linux Vulnerability Remediation Engineer will manage patching, configuration hardening, and automation efforts in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Execute vulnerability remediation and patch management for RHEL 7/8/9 servers, including triaging findings and coordinating remediation activities
- Develop and maintain automation solutions using Chef and Ansible, converting manual processes into repeatable, standardized runbooks
- Validate remediation effectiveness through re-scanning, maintain documentation for audit compliance, and provide progress updates to stakeholders
Required qualifications
- 6-10 years of hands-on experience with RHEL 7/8/9/10 in enterprise environments
- Proven experience in vulnerability remediation and patch management for Linux servers
- Expertise with Qualys or equivalent vulnerability scanners
- Automation experience with Chef and/or Ansible in production environments
- Strong scripting skills in Bash and proficiency in Ruby
