Job Summary

A company is looking for a Litigation Counsel to manage and direct claims litigation activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and direct claims litigation activities and case strategy for designated states
• Supervise, hire, and evaluate performance of outside attorneys and claims-handling personnel
• Research legal impacts on claims handling and provide training to employees on related issues

Required Qualifications

• Law degree with thorough knowledge of litigation and insurance law
• Trial or legal claims experience with on-the-job training in insurance contracts
• Ability to develop relationships with diverse groups, including legal and claims personnel
• Experience in managing complex, high-exposure claims
• Ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without accommodation
